COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Ms. Arpita here gives us an introductory lesson on Oro-myofunctional Therapy for children with Tongue Thrust techniques easily applicable in therapy settings without any instruments. Originally designed to help patients with obstructive sleep apnea, these exercises when modified are helpful to the extent of being highly beneficial for muscle retraining in children with tongue thrust. These can be used by SLPs in various disorders requiring repetitive oral strength building exercises.
She then demonstrates simple techniques, and encourages audience participation too.

SLPs will be able to understand the basic science of tongue thrust and the subsequent of anatomical deviation.
