Course Description:

• To understand the surface presentations and deeper connections in children with language disorders presenting to SLP for consultation.
• Effects of screen time on language, behaviour and cognition and how these are different in children with Autism.

Learner’s/SLP’s Understanding:

1. SLP’s will be able to understand how screen time affects various developmental domains in children.
2. SLPs can differentially diagnose and understand the prognosis of children with autistic traits from other delays and disorders.
3. SLP’s will learn about cognition and Executive Function holistically embedded in children’s awareness and independence skills.
4. SLP will understand through the progress of  two case demonstrations.
5. SLP’s can confidently counsel parents about skills and play development of the child and the overall ill effects of screen time.
