About This Course

Both speakers are clinical SLPs working with a range of neurodiverse children.
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course is designed to address concerns of anxiety and its related behaviour. Children with neurodiverse development show various patterns of anxiety related behaviours, often cited as meltdowns or worse, behaviours.
Neurodiverse populations refers to people with brains that process sensory information differently than the Neurotypical population. This hinders their ability to self -regulate for the purpose of activities of daily living and even achieving happiness through these tasks. Speech-Language Pathologists work every closely with families to develop speech, language, communication, social and emotional skills with children with neurodiversity. We also actively work towards them achieving independence in their daily routine. This is very often affected by their inability to achieve optimum levels of regulation.
Come join us in this course as we decode “behaviours” and other manifestations of anxiety, to support children with neurodiversity better and train parents and care givers to understand situations to finally attain independence in tasks of daily living.
