Training Parents and Speech Therapists to train children recognise their internal body signals is the first and reliable communication and aids with intrinsic motivation and feeling of safety. It makes sure that we favour connection over correction. In case of “behaviours” we need to stop using corrective measures only and dig deep to understand the child’s struggle with basic needs in daily life.
Engagement and communication works together, and rigorously working towards training to identify and communicate Interoception signals helps us to with basic communication goals as well.
