Ms. Dipeeka discusses the benefits of early intervention, using non-traditional methods in a child with many savant skills. Continuous parent guidance also ensures adequate and strength based development of speech, language and communication, especially when these are not milestone based. Echolalia was treated as the child’s strength and appropriate parent education was provided for further development of functional speech.
